Looks like an enormous amount of work, Barbara, and a lovely finished picture, very colourful.

Thank you, Tessa. I was asked to do a garden scene to include a shed and Spring flowers; this was out of my imagination so was really quick to stitch-only a day and a half! Thank you very much for all your support and interest in my work and I wish you a very happy creative New Year!

Beautiful work....

Thank you, Jill!

Gosh! Thank you so much, Annick for your lovely comment!

Love the colours and arrangement within this Barbara.

Thank you very much, Carole for your fantastic feedback!

I love textiles Barbara and the way you place, layer and stitch all the scraps of fabric, lace etc is a joy to see. You must have boxes of colourful bits and pieces of stuff to use and I imagine half the pleasure is routing out the perfect piece ready to stitch. I envy your talent and this garden is absolutely beautiful. Are they framed behind glass once completed?

Gorgeous! Love your textile work.

Beautiful! Love embroidery.

This is beautiful, Barbara, love all the pretty colours.

This is amazing Barbara! Such a gorgeous mixture of colour, so pretty.

Hello Louise, thank you very much for your lovely comment. Yes, I have a huge range of materials all arranged in boxes (about 20) by colour and then several more boxes full of tiny scraps which come in handy when I'm looking for a particular mark to portray a feature. I just love creating impressions of what I see and pushing myself to keep on tackling new subjects which stretch me further. Once a picture is finished I do have it framed behind glass so that it looks like a painting from a distance and close up all the textures and threads can be seen. Thank you again for your interest in my art and your support and I wish you a very happy and creative New Year.

Thank you, Dennis!

Thank you very much, Carole for your lovely comment. I have to admit that I don't embroider-I just use running stitch to hold the scraps of fabric together-I hope you are not disappointed to find that my technique is not at all complicated! Thank you very much for all your support and interest in my work and I wish you a very happy creative New Year!

Thank you very much, Margaret! I'm delighted you like the picture-it was out of my imagination and it was a delight to create as on these cold grey wintery days my thoughts could turn to Spring!

Thank you very much, Jenny for your lovely comment!

Ah, that's exactly what I thought Barbara. It must be so satisfying to create work like this. I can imagine your excitement when you find the exact colour/piece you've been looking for and the frustration when you can't!

Wonderful colours Barbara.

Hello Louise, it's a bit like doing a jigsaw puzzle but without a picture to follow. I just go where the fabric takes me and it leads to all sorts of lovely surprises!

Thank you, Sandra!
