So lovely. Did you draw with a pen or pencil? Do you take a photograph as well? Your sketchbooks are real treasures.

This one's a pen drawing Pat, my usual thing, although I occasionally use pencil. No photo needed - I can remember the scene unless it needs to be accurate!

Out for an evening walk with one of our dogs yesterday, I came across this view of the river - at this time of the year the riverbank is so overgrown that it's difficult to see the water, but here was a gap in the nettles and whatnot. A quick pen drawing caught what I wanted and I painted it early this morning. I think I've overworked the riverbank unfortunately..............
