Those were the days eh. Lovely little painting John.

Great memories and detail John, I like the window belt, had forgotten about those!

Thank you all for those words, and I'm pleased that it jogged some memories. Yes the thick leather strap Tessa - I remember hearing stories of teddyboys (before my time!) cutting the straps to make studded belts..............

Yes, miss those train cubicles they should bring them back and then we can all travel again and sit on those plush seats! The Flying Scotsman brings back memories although there was a corridor back in 1968, well painted and nostalgic too!

Thank you Angela. The nearest you can get to those days now is to ride on the many preserved railways.........nice to re-live the experience!

A trip down memory lane! This is my entry for this week's 2-man art challenge....a little pen and watercolour sketch on the theme of yes, Transport of Delight. What joy to ride in one of these (technically 'non-corridor stock) to Blackpool or Windermere.............
