So much to like about this one - the contrast with ancient and modern, the meticulous brushwork, the colour of the old stones and the incredible skill brought to the painting of the moss and lichens. The aluminium support, which I've yet to try, gives you great smoothness I imagine.

Thank you for your kind comments Robert, its always nice to get positive feedback. In answer to your point yes the Aluminium support provides a very smooth support that allows you to work in a lot of detail. It also adds a bit of luminosity to the colour.
