Lovely, strong palette with those very believable rocks and I like the way you have painted the sky and water Ann.

Good effective palette and really like the composition, Ann

Like this and that seaweedy rock works a treat.

Just a thought - not a criticism - a heavy bodied acrylic, like Daler-Rowney's Cryla, would help you to create all sorts of textures in rocks, trees, wood, without any texture paste at all. But - it's fun to use it, so why not... What I like about this one, principally, is the life in your water, and the variety of shapes in your rocks - you could even see animals in them: a polar bear for the foreground rock, a wombat or coypu in the one off-centre left .... I see all sorts of strange things in rocks and natural promontories and formations, so this for me just adds to the painting's appeal and realism, using that word in a more romantic sense, perhaps, than mere accuracy. And the painting is strong - strong palette, boldly applied.
