I wondered roughly how long it takes you to do these lovely works?

Louise, it takes me about two days overall...after which I often leave it and then come back later to reassess. It looks very detailed but is actually based on loose washes and then some final more detailed work to finish. Thanks for asking!

Ann, I also turn them to the wall to reassess later. Once, I did this, started a new work, got so wrapped up the new one and forgot all about it!! I discovered it much later! Unbelievable but actually happened! Someone will comment I know thats it's my age! Thanks for the information, I'm always curious.

This is a very special painting; I can indeed see the loose washes, and you won't get this sort of freshness without them; but you have exquisite control.
