Another good one Ann~love the expression too...

Hi Anni, you have a great distinctive style....this one has an art deco feel to it....is she a 1920's flapper??

I like this one too Anni. I'm sorry but I had to smile at this, it reminded me of a senior lady during my nursing days, she was very good at quoting old sayings. One was' Red hat and no knickers!!'

Super curves and colours. Like the strong use of shapes and no fiddling. Well done Anni

Hi Phil, I think she is quite full of herself but a lonely woman and her eyes look sad. Rather prone to gossip and conservative on the surface...but underneath is a dare devil. Thanks for looking and commenting. Hi Steve, Yup definitely a flapper. The wallpaper background was quite a mission. It was another experiment with the complimentary palette of crimson and green. I still have one more to do in the same colours (the Brown Hat). Thank you for looking ~ Anni Hello Carole, Your comment made me smile and I wanted to find out more about it. "Red shoes and no knickers" or "All fur and no knickers" are old fashioned expressions describing a person who is very flashy or loud in appearance but is very superficial. In other words someone who is all show and no substance. I think this describes her perfectly. Thanks for the input, much appreciated. Hi there Angela Yes, two down and one to go. I hope to make a start on the third in this series either today or tomorrow. I should also make a new entry in my blog. Cheers ~ Anni

Acrylic on cavas Size: 40×30 cm I used rhe same limited palette of Napthol Crimson, Permanent Sap Green and Titanium White, as I did for the Green Hat. Shades of Modigliani crept into this one again. The background was inspired by an old retro wallpaper design. ~ Anni Morris www.annimorris.com
