Hi Anni~ one look its yours...its my Gallery Pick of the day...love the composition, the colours, the details, the patterns, the faces, the hair... OK I'm a male, those too...another of your fascinatingly awesome artworks....love it.

Hi Phil, It amazes me that you can pick my work out...I am hoping I have a style but can't see one as yet. Glad you like it. I need plenty of practise and hopefully with time there is improvement. I did enjoy painting this, it is so exciting creating faces. There is always that wild card feeling, wondering just how they will turn out. I know you had a fine weekend last weekend in the UK according to my brother, hopefully summer has come now and you are enjoying some sunshine and warmth? Here it is very depressing, we have had a week of rain, some roads were closed just north of here because of flooding..the lawn is a no go area at the moment. So today has been spent in the warm and dry painting. Have an enjoyable weekend and thanks for taking the time to look and comment :) ~ Anni

Nice to see one of your vibrant paintings on here again, it's been a while. Love the patterns in this, reminds me of a kaleidoscope.

Hi Val, Yes I've been a bit slack of late posting works. I have a small abstract Picasso inspired which is a devil to photograph correctly because I painted a very dark blue background. Hopefully get that on soonish. I did finish a painting yesterday, an abstracted work which was inspired by a trip to Arrowtown a few weeks ago. It was a beautiful autumn weekend of sun shining through butter yellow leaves. I must up date my blog and pop a photo on so you can see some of the breath taking scenery. Trust you are well? Hw is the art going Val, what are you working on at the mo? Kind regards ~ Anni Morris ;)

An innovative unusual composition, I love all those patterns and the ladies are lovely.

Hello Carole, Glad you like this one, Klimt connections once again :) Many thanks ~ Anni Morris

Oh Anni...welcome back, I am a dedicated fan of your wonderful work;every painting is different and exciting...Love this one - your sense of colour and design is fantastic, The Klimt connection is clear, yes, and you bring your own vision to it. Absolutely lovely and so totally original! And thank you for your forum input, I shall go into it...I like a good covering white.

Hi Ruth, What a lovely welcome, I never consider I would have ANY fans...except those ones I use in the hot weather :) Yes, I have only just discovered the forums. I feel there are others more experienced than me that can give advice...so will tread carefully. Painting is all about experimenting isn't it? Seeing what works for you. I use testpots sometimes when I want to cover up an old canvas and repaint. My Matisse paints are too precious and way to expensive to use for that. I also spray a protective varnish on them when I finish a painting to preserve it from dirt and UV. You can get a Matt or Gloss finish. Occasionally I use a water based gloss medium to finish a work too, that is diluted 1:1 with water and applied with a brush...but I always seem to get odd brush hairs falling out, so prefer to spray at a 45degree angle. Hope your art is going well Ruth? - Fond regards ~ Anni :)

Beautiful Anni. Great to see an original thinker do something well!
