Thanks John... for looking and commenting on this one. I textured the canvas first with PVA and tissue paper, then gessoed it. This gave some surface texture before I applied the paint. I did this painting fairly quickly using a large brush (hog bristle)...used a finer brush later to tidy up here and there. Faces are fun to paint, never really know what you are going to really create until it emerges. Best regards ~ Anni :)
