I like this painting Anni, it tells a story. Perhaps you could write a children's book about Moon the cat and illustrate it! I had a go at the CD painting and posted my effort yesterday, not as proficient as yours but I had fun designing a circular picture.

Hello Christine, I often thought about a children's book, got as far many years ago as writing one and did the pictures with paper collage. I think with moves it got lost/damaged. Maybe sometime. I must try and track down your cd art Christine. Thanks for looking in :) ~ Anni

Hi Anni, yes I spotted the mouse. Lovely painting, great illustration.

Hi Anni. I have just caught up with this posting, 'Anni and Moon'. Your work is absolutely great I love it. Please don't think I am being intrusive, but I know of an artist, Anni, who lived near the Ceiriog Valley in Wales, where I live, some years ago? Is that you? I would love to know. The name fits, and I do wonder whether it is you.

Hello Carole, Apologies for a slow reply. Thanks for looking at this one and taking the time to comment. There is something very relaxing producing this kind of illustration. All I need is my pad, pencil, pen and eraser. The watercolour paints are so tiny they take up minimal space on the table. When I use acrylics I am up an down getting tubes of paint, using canvases that take up half the table etc...Trust all is well with you and your art is thriving. ~ Kind regards Anni ;) www.annimorris.com

Hello Angela, Apologies again for a slow reply, I haven't been so well lately and certain things have been put on hold. First of all thank for taking the time to look at my work and comment. I often think of funny ideas for paintings and sometimes they do eventuate, others are stored away for the future. I think art should be able to lift the spirit and make people smile sometimes. I really hope you have managed to retrieve your portfolio by now? Always keep record of your artwork on cd...just incase your pc fails. Hope your art is going well at the moment?. Kind regards ~ Anni www.annimorris.com

Hello Ruth, Good to hear from you. Thanks for looking at this one, it was very enjoyable to do. No I don't think you are intrusive at all asking your question. I am not the artist in Wales you've heard of. My father was Welsh but originally from the Rhondda Valley, so there are Welsh connections...also Irish ones and London ones :) If you ever wish to contact me directly to chat about things artistic, please feel free to go to my website and you can reach me there. Trust all is well with you? Kind regards ~ Anni ww.annimorris.com

Mixed Media on Bockingford Watercolour paper Not my usual medium of acrylic. I tried watercolour and ink, also some coloured pencil. Picture from my imagination. I have a fondness for cats and even when I was quite small neighbours used to ask me to look after their cats when they went away. Some years ago I had a dark grey cat called Moon. I have always loved the ritual of teatime, all those tasty things like cakes and dainty sandwiches, and hearing the comforting sound of tea being poured. I wonder can you spot the little mouse? ~ Anni www.annimorris.com
