superb painting but I think you'll find its a hellebore

This is a lovely study Annie and beautifully painted, with good translucency achieved in the petals. Helleborus is the Latin name for a hellebore and this is one of the orientalis varieties (otherwise known as Lenten hellebores) so you are not wrong,
