On Procida, the third island in the bay of Naples (after Capri and Ischia), there is a promontory which is called Terra murata (walled land). A spectacular palazzo built there was transformed into a jail toward the end of the 18th century. It functioned as a jail (hence terra murata) until the seventies. After that the young people of Procida came to party into the buildings until they were secured. Nowadays one can visit the buildings which are desintegrating slowly. The drawing represents a girl sitting in one of the tall windows looking out to the sky and the sea as to freedom...
