Venice - the darker side?

I like this.Very nice

Cockling doesn't really matter, but if it troubles you it can be prevented and corrected should it happen - I like the darker side approach, because we so rarely see it. Is this pthalo blue, or Prussian, as a matter of interest?

Thank you, Larry!

Thanks, Robert, for your comments. I never use pthalo or prussian. My standby is always payne's grey (WN artist) - this time added a bit of winsor blue (green) and a touch of sap green.

I really like the atmosphere of this piece, Ann, and the clear washes. It's lovely!

Phew! I found this pic on the web ages ago and it has been tormenting me ever since. Not sure about the finished result. (Also, it it NOT easy to make a watercolour out of an oil painting.) PS the crinkles in the sky are a result of the paper beingstill damp!
