Hate to offend anyone, but I get really angry about second "homes" - we have them all over the Isle of Wight, and it just angers me when I know how so many people have to live, in sub-standard accommodation, while some people have two houses and by so doing push the price of property ever upwards. However, leaving that aside.....! Lovely sky, and if you're worried about your drawing, just do more of it: I think skies ARE your strongest point at the moment, but if you can get the freedom into your more solid objects that you get in your clouds, you'll never look back.

You're well on the way there, by the way!

Same up here, Robert, in far NW Scotland!!! - I agree with your sentiments - but nothing to do with painting! We paint to FORGET the bad things in lifew - or I do.........

The little cottage looks beautiful and well drawn, painted. The sky is exceptionally good Ann.

I do not know if it is fun to live there but the old cottages and the Scottish landscape all have a soft spot in my heart (don't know if this is good English) in Flemish we say: "ze hebben een zacht plekje in mijn hart". If I would live there i would like to have a few trees around the cottage, but that is not the point here and the composition doesn't need that. Beautiful painting, Ann. I love it!

I agree, Mia, trees would be nice! - but we are to near the sea and for a good deal of the year it is too WINDY!

This is another lovely piece. I really like the way you capture the stormy sky in your paintings and the wonderful old cottages.

Never mind - you have immortalised it now in your painting so it is no longer ignored. Lovely setting for a cottage - who is the estate agent selling it as we will all be queueing up! Great painting of it as well.

This one really is sad - in common with many old cottages, when the owners die, this property was bought as a "holiday home" then to all intents and purposes IGNORED! - aaargh!
