Nothing wrong with copying...that's how many art students learn from past artists. Knight was brilliant...and this is a good effort. Question is...what will you take from it into work of your own?

What I take is the satisfaction in getting something like the original.If you don,t copy your favorite artist how will you ever know if you can do something similar?You can learn how they paint an this may improve your own work.Even if you paint different subjects.

I know ,your not supposed to copy,but It,s o.k if it,s just for practice,and I gave the painting as a gift.I liked the original so much,and I just wanted to see if I could get anything near it.It,s a lot smaller than the original too,so was quite chuffed with it.
