Love the pearls Carol and I think you are very brave to do a painting of a painting. The lady's eyes look a bit strange though - maybe too large and her cleavage looks a little flat.

I met this lady last year.I stepped out of this building where the internet is and she was right outside painting the building opposite.Then i met her again later in the year when she had a solo exhibition of her beautiful still lifes and landscapes paintings,where I took the photo that this painting is based on. I thought I,d bitten off more than I could chew when I started it,but luckily I,ve still got a good set of teeth! and getting the image of her painting just right was easier than I expected.The most trouble I had was actually the frame and the pearls.I,d painted over the drawing of the pearls and had to paint them free hand gradually increasing in size and was really pleased with the result.
