Black Swans and cygnets monoprint by Angela Harrison

Comments

That's very interesting Angela. The swans seem to have become very mysterious and ethereal. I like it though.

It's just an experiment and think it's better when wet as the pigments should absorb easier...I did smear glue on the blank side and dampened the front as the watercolour had set,, used baking paper on the back to rub with a spoon in circular motion as vaguely remember we did that when printing from a recent photocopy. maybe next time shall apply heat with hair dryer onto paper beforehand,, anyway it did seem to adhere and appears Abstract. Many thanks for your feedback Julie, much appreciated.

I haven't ever used watercolour medium to monoprint so this is what happened during the process of dampening the reverse side of a watercolour image. I pressed it down with baking paper and rolled with a pin and the image did adhere looks Abstract now!
