'Red' The Blue Heeler by Angela Harrison

This is very nice Angela, he looks like a beautiful dog. You can fix the pastel. Its a fine spray. You can pick a can up for about 9 to 12 pounds but it does last a long time. It fixes charcoal also.

Why thank you Denise, and for the advice on fixative spray as it's the first pastel work I have attempted for a while. 🙌

Nicely done Angela, bet your friend is happy.

Why thank you Heather, I should be able to gift her 'Red's portrait sometime this week, need to buy some fixative first! We have all been recuperating from Spring Hayfever, all the blossoms are sprouting over in the Southern hemisphere! Nice to be sketching again! 🙂

A neighbour who walks her Blue Heeler dog 'Red' asked me ages ago to see I could paint a portrait of him! I created a pastel portrait and wonder if anyone can advise me on how to preserve the surface, does one need a spray fixative?
