Excellent work Andrew , so often trees are painted brown but as you know they have a vast amount of colour in them when look closely.

Love your trees Andrew and a true depiction of the surface and colour in the winter…..especially a wet winter such as we’ve had. Good for your getting out in this weather! I’m still on ideas from my sketchbooks and photos!

Some trees by a local lake which I painted plein air until my fingers became numb so I finished it at home. Trying to capture the green/yellow algae on those trees. Double page pen and wash with a dab of coloured pencil in my A5 sketchbook.
