Your encouraging and generous comments mean a great deal to me. The painting is in oils but with silver leaf for the water. A method that I am just beginning to get to grips with!

My wife and I grew up in Blackfriars so this is very nostalgic for me. The light on the Thames is fantastic, even early morning or evening and of course the foggy days in the forties and fifties. You have made our day Andrew.

Thanks Fred, much appreciated! I lived in London until 2019 and spent a lot of time drawing the Thames in all its different shades of glory. I'm glad you found the picture sparked some good memories!
