What a hoot! He was a great comedian and you have done a great job of portraying him in one of his bet roles.

This is absolutely brilliant Andrew you have caught the look Les Dawson use to have on his face while playing this character so well, great work, and you probably have no idea what has been happening on this site tonight, we have had 3 multiple posters posting at least 10 paintings each that have caused quite a bnit of chaos as you might imagine, you have posted at the right side of those 3 people so that they have not been able to disrupt viewers seeing your great work whereas people who posted earlier in the day are already as far back as page 8 which is ridiculous for work only posted today, anyway well done to you for not posting this great work till now!

Thanks Ros, great timing for me as I only joined the site this evening at 7.30! Will post more tomorrow, thanks again for your kind words very much appreciated. Andrew

when I saw this I immeditially started laughing. goodness what a great picture. you have got les as ada there with out a hair out of place. the memories of the les dawson shows came flying back and the times i creased up at this character. like I say I comment more on the reaction of a piece of artwork that it generates in me and I have to say if you like les have been hiding your light under a bushel then all I can say is thank goodness you have taken the bushel off. this is a corker, well done, so look forward to seeing more of your work. I may need more than tissues!!! thank you !!!

Many thanks Deborah, I did enjoy painting this as like you I think this character was one of Les's best and he always brought a smile to my face.
