Robin

This little beauty is one of my favourite birds. I do find it tricky to get the breast colour right and have used permanent rose with cad yellow, with occasionally cad orange. They can be so very tame and I have seen photograph of them feeding from the hand. I have one that will come within 3 feet of my in our garden, due to my ritual of feeding them every day! Anyway, a lovely bird painting from a bird artist.

Lovely colours in this little Robin, super delicate rendering of the form

Normally bird images don't do much for me but this is very good. Alone and off centre, its stance and alert character makes a strong image. Clever and effective.
