Thanks Alan, John Tony and Fiona., sticking with the gouache at the moment, less messy and can get the paint on during my lunch break. It dries a lot quicker,so have to work quicker which may help with a looser approach.

Lovely complimentary colours, and figure's stride is perfectly portrayed. I love the subtle texture you have achieved with the gouache, and the blonde hair is spot on. It's nice to see gouache work, it's an under rated medium, and as you say, not so messy. I get in a right old state with acrylics sometimes!

She and you in sync with movement, marks, attitude - brillian work.

Your practical consideration is impressive and it is paying off. You still manage to keep that feel of the oils you do.
