Amazing detail and facial expression you have achieved, Andre. Fine work indeed.

I like how colourful the portrait is and how the figure fills the whole area. Andre it is fantabulous!

Thank you ladies, your lovely comments gratefully received. It took a whole afternoon to paint this, so a little more detailed work. Had great difficulty trying to mix a turquoise colour for the shirt. Had cerulean blue, cobalt and ultramarine plus Viridian green and sap green, with Naples yellow and titanium white to lighten, would be grateful for any advice for future mixing of turquoise.

Amazing painting André, very impressive portrait.

Can't tell about the blue, but you gave that face a good amount of expressiveness. So I guess you did it right. And I hope the man depicted doesn't get angry with his looks ;)

A good strong portrait Andre. very colourful.

Well, you can buy a variety of turquoise paints - Cobalt Turquoise being one. But first define what you mean by turquoise, I suppose - basically, it's a green blue, so you were on the right track with the Viridian (good colour for mixing), or could have used Pthalo Green (the cheaper "Viridians" very often ARE Pthalo Green). Adding white and a little yellow, you could try Cerulean Blue, or Manganese (doubt if that's available in the water solubles). Ultramarine is too much inclined towards red to work well here, although it would work in the shadows, and I think you've used it in the gaps of the shirt, ie at the cuff. Cobalt Blue might work, with the green; or even a bit of Permanent Sap Green with a blue. I think you were on the right lines basically, even though I'd have thought you might have taken a step towards mud with the Ultramarine. It certainly doesn't show as such in your successful portrait.
