Yes Jim, the story of 'newsboy' is of a American reporter who travelled the globe in the 1940s and 50s who always wore the cap known as the 'newsboy' . This picture is loosely based on the reporter when he followed Ghandi during his stay in South Africa, played in the film by Martin Sheen. This period was a time for adventure and romance, which I love trying to portray.

Ah, thank you Andre. Haven't seen that film but your painting is perfect for telling the story.
