I remember that Venice morning like it was yesterday. Standing with brush in hand, watching Santa Maria della Salute emerge from misty light. The water shimmered with a thousand blues as I tried to capture this fleeting moment. That peaceful gondolier became my metaphor for Venice - timeless beauty flowing through centuries.
