This painting represents my personal interpretation of Positano – the gem of Italy's Amalfi Coast. I wanted to capture that unique atmosphere of the town that cascades dramatically down the mountainside directly into the Tyrrhenian Sea. I emphasized the vibrant colors characteristic of Positano – warm shades of pink, orange, and red buildings contrast with the intense blue of the sea and mountains looming on the horizon.
