This painting captures a magical winter cross-country skiing trip through snow-covered forests. It was one of those perfect days with gentle frost and brilliant sunlight cutting through the trees. The dominant blues and turquoises convey the cold landscape, while warm golds, pinks, and oranges symbolize sunlight and the pure joy of that journey. The impasto texture reflects the energy and movement of a winter day in harmony with nature.
