I like your poppies Amanda and your hoppy bunny, they work well together! A happy painting!

Good! I'm glad you think so, Christine; it - ir something rather similar - is destined for the front of a primary school.

It's fun and that rabbit has good form. Red poppies against the green- you can't beat that colour combination! lucky primary school Amanda :)

This has so much appeal - the school children will love it. The rabbit has lots of character - he/she really needs a name! I hope you will photograph the completed mural and post it,

Thank you Sarah and Julie. I think this rabbit's name must be Poppy, don't you? ~~~ I do intend to keep the gallery up to date, but we won't be starting until September.

Said I liked rabbits on the forum and do like this one - in fact I missed it first time round - probably what appeals most is that there is a lovely stylisation about it avoiding the sentimental, dare I say slushy, look of many animal pictures in the gallery. You can keep painting rabbits.

Thank you, Michael. :-)

A very happy and jolly painting.

Sounds like a dance, doesn't it? 1950s rock'n'roll... at the hop. ~~~~ before my time. ~~~~ Another prototype for the mural project. Acrylic on emulsioned board, not much bigger than A4. ~~~~ Two popular subjects - cute bunny rabbit and pretty poppies. ~~~~ Painted almost exclusively with (slightly posh, synthetic) household decorating brushes: the 2" and the 1/2 ". Outline done with a round artist's brush :-)
