Greenham Reflection: Spotted Bullock

Greenham Reflection: Spotted Bullock

I like this very much Amanda, and I love your narrative.

I agree with Amanda, I just wonder if the composition might have been more effective/interesting if the bullock was not dead centre of the picture - what do you think?

Y'know what, Crispian, I was concerned about that. But somehow, applying the rule of thirds to the beast didn't seem to work. Neither did any other displacement that I could think of. The landsape more or less follows the thirds rule, though.

Lovely trees and lovely realistic water with great refection of the bull, brilliant colours as well

End of November: Greenham Common's many pools are swollen by the rain. The sky is grey with the promise of more. Unconcerned by the human users of the common with their children and cameras, this bullock grazes close to a pool, its reflection striking against that of the darkening sky. Oil on canvas, 38 x 46 cm.
