Smashing sketch and subject, would have preferred a little more detail on the loco and carriage

Very good lively sketch Allyson. How much Inktense work do you do?

Thanks Derek, I know more detail on the train would have made for a better sketch, but unfortunately I just didn't have the time as it was on it's way back Haverthwaite.

Thanks George I have used Inktense before but mostly I was using the blocks as a painting medium and alternative to watercolours. But I have recently started using the pencils for sketching, which I am really getting into now, because I really like the immediacy of them. I prefer them to watercolour pencils as I think colours are more vibrant and they strengthen as you add water while leaving clear marks on the paper so I will probably use Inktense for all my future colour sketching work.

Never mind Allyson, you're forgiven. I really do like it anyway, just my subect. Must look up Inktense
