Lovely soft feel to this painting, and some super detail

Thank you Lesley, I think that colours in the Derwent Inktense range are fabulous, and such a good range of colours too. I will be adding quite a few more of these Inktense paintings to my next exhibtion.

You have got a lovely glow on the buildings and haven't fallen for the trap of making the gondolas really dark which would have unbalanced the painting. Lots of good decisions here and they have paid off as the painting is beautiful.

Thank you for your kind comments Thea, I am very pleased with the way this painting turned out, I am currently doing another more local scene using Inktense one I previously completed in watercolour and really think they have the edge. I am going to be auctioning one of my Inktense paintings for Macmillan Cancer Support during my next exhibtion, so I am glad that they are appealing to people.

This is a lovely painting, soft, yet vibrant. I look forward to seeing more of your work soon!

This is the first painting I have done using Inktense but the colours are so beautiful that I certainly intend to do a lot more of my work using them. The colours glow on the paper, and they have a vibrance and clarity that simply can't be matched.
