Mountain in the mist by Alison Clarke

A lovely painting, I like how you have dealt with the clouds / mist around the base , using the blues, grey , purple look has thrown the mountain back and gives a depth to the scene.

It’s a good and interesting painting Alison. But as you have asked the foreground appears rather laboured, while the background is good fluid watercolour. I wonder what sort of paper you are working on?

Thank you for your comments. The paper I used is a Baohong block (rough) 100%cotton. I love it!
