Great to read that you got a sale Alison, hopefully you got plenty for it as it sounds like it is a large painting, super water and rock formations, great light with lovely recession back to the trees

Congratulations Alison, well deserved. Like yourself I think the rock structure is fabulous

very different feel to your other posting, this one is a all about energy, rushing water and diagonal thrusts from the rocks but works just as well.

My first ever painting to be sold. Sold at a local exhibition last year, now taking pride of place in a house somewhere in London. Also earned me the 'Peoples Prize' as voted by the general public as best painting in the exhibition. Was slightly shocked to say the least. It is a very large canvas in oils and done using palette knives and brushes. My favourite part is the large rock formation at the front, done with a knife. Got amazing texture and colours. I did get very attached to this painting as it took me about 2 years to complete mainly because I only paint as and when I get time because of working, etc, so I did feel a bit sad when it went.
