These are the world famous Crown Mines, perched on the cliffs near Botallack in Cornwall. They are so beautiful in their half ruined, precarious state that they have been much photographed and painted. Who was I to resist?! I can promise ypu that I haven't over exaggerated the colours in this little acrylic painting on box canvas. The sea and sky really are that blue and the grass really is that lush and green, such is the pure light on the coast of Cornwall...
