Glorious painting, Alastair, and SO convincing. A gentle pitching wedge from there, straight for the pin, I'd say. The grass and trees are simply excellent, to say nothing of the shadows. Brian

Thank you! It’s about 95yds so a gap wedge for me! The tree technique takes about 5 minutes to understand and about 6 weeks to practise but it’s great for doing scenes like this. I’ve been promised it will go up in the club house but I’m still waiting!!

Oil on canvas panel 30x24cm. Lovely part of the course once the trees are in leaf. The odd tree at centre right was struck by lightening a few years ago
