I really like this Alan, it has the look of 1930's style poster art. How do you manage to achieve the solid block colour effect, something I find really hard to do?

Hello Christine, thank you. The solid colour comes from using only opaque paint. Transparent and semi-transparent/opaque paints will never give a flat, solid - every time you add more, you accentuate the streaks.

Lovely use of shapes and hues, with a super composition. It's a beautiful piece.

Everything smashing and lovely technique except the flash of red fo me.
