Alan these are lovely flowers, so delicate looking. I love the way to can see every petal with your shading. Very detailed.

Completely agree with Hazel. The middle red one especially looks like velvet. A beautiful piece of art.

Until I enlarged the image, I thought these must have been done on velour - very nice indeed. You've got away with using an even number of blooms by having different colours & tones. Lovely work.

Thanks each. It's a change of direction for me! My first non-nude (almost) and my first flowers. I didn't even realise that you weren't supposed to have even numbers. A little tip logged for the future...

Great flowers. Expertly done. As we keep saying, these are surely the hardest flowers to do.

Thanks Carole and Lorraine. They were hard and time consuming. I painted them petal by petal. About one flower per evening! They aren't quite monochrome Lorraine. The camera couldn't pick up the subtle colours.

Just like the one on artyfolk! I love this one. The rose petals are just gorgeous. Smashing work.
