Really like this Alan....love the muted colours and particularly like the foreground. Beautiful portfolio too....you obviously very accomplished :)

Staithes is a fantastic place and you have really caught it with the hotch potch of roofs. I like the way the precise drawing becomes washed away by the suffused edges. And that key figure draws you in. Super,

This is gorgeous, Alan. I love the shadows of the chimneys top right

The figure in the colourful clothes is a very well thought out addition. Splendid painting - though when I used to visit Staithes as a child, the sun always shone!

Well captured, love the grey mistyness about it.

This is sooooo beautiful, Alan. Fine penwork and a stunning colour palette. Love it!

Super draughtsmanship & the colours suit Staithes so well.

A beauty Alan. Such good colour and skillfully drawn.

Very lovely pen and wash Alan, I love the detail.

This is very beautiful Alan. Well done.

One of the more unusual views of Staithes I think. I have never been!

This is lovely Alan. I like the effect at the bottom.

Hey up lad..keep the paintings of yorkshire comin..

Thanks everyone for your generous comments which are much appreciated. Looks like I am on a winner with this one! Regards Alan

It's a must Gudrun. Elevated views like this are many and make for ideal subjects. The recession is immaculate and that lone figure makes it live.

This is truly beautiful!
