Hares - line & wash by Alan Taylor

You reminded me other day, when I went walk the dog to local cemetery... I was amazed (my dog as well!) of HOW MANY little bunnies we saw playing there! I shall mention - near by is huge natural park, where you can meet (if you lucky) a family of deer, badger, fox, grey heron... BUT NO RABBITS?! (or hares, I'm not sure what kind was at the cemetery). So seeing so many baby bunnies happily wandering around the grass field surrounded by those graves ... Well ;) Sorry for sharing that story, I just had to... I do adore your drawing very much, they looking very realistic, and your art nicely showing their curious character too ;)

Alan these are just lovely...

Alan - that is absolutely delightful!!

Lovely, a great quartet

Thank you Sylvia and PogArt AsSer - I think those little rabbits should be very wary of the fox, and any fish in nearby garden ponds and waterways of the heron. I love wildlife (except snakes and many spiders). Seeing them running wild is a fantastic sight. They pay us no attention, but humans very often disturb them too much. A cemetery is a great place for wildlife, mainly due to being quite for much of the time.

Thank you Heather & David

I used to follow wildlife TV documentary series when I was young, but it is cruelty world... I found myself struggling to watch it anymore. As much as I love animals, as much I can't watch their real life challenges. Sure little rabbits are delightful meal for most predators wandering throughout the park I did mention, so they most likely found the cemetery being much more welcomed place to live ;)

A delightful group of hares, Alan!

Four great hares, Alan. Superbly detailed. It reminded me of the book and film, Watership Down, even though it was all about rabbits.

A charming group of hares who look so alert and ready to run off at any moment. Beautifully painted Alan.

A super collection of Hares Alan.

Those are brilliant Alan, so accurate.
