That's a gorilla: and gorillas aren't monkeys - now, you don't want to fall out with one o' they: he's an ape. I like your strong application of paint and descriptive brushwork: reminds me of meeting Guy the Gorilla at London Zoo: he'd stare you right in the eye, thinking Lord alone knows what - he was old when I saw him, and not so much cheeky as, I suspect, fed up. You've got the sense of massive bulk here, as well as a contemplative smirk...
