I think the portrait is great ( a handsome man if ever I saw one!) Lovely marks, tones and a natural pose.

Not sure what you feel wasn't working, I'm totally convinced by it. I like the way you have left the background, it directs the eye to the figure.

I agree with all the above. Love the expression. Definitely that of an artist.

You might not be happy with it, but it's certainly inspired your many admirers .... why did it take you three years? Or have we all misunderstood you ... a good, solid drawing, anyway, perfectly proportioned.

hi adebanji, i don,t see that much wrong with this work its of your usual high standard, i think the composition is great the only thing i can see which might be slightly improved is the background area to the right of the picture ,to the right of your left elbow, might have looked better in a bit darker shading, but thats just my opinion i might be wrong because i think its a great drawing as it is.....chris
