Grey Day, Albert Bridge

Grey Day, Albert Bridge
Comments

The slightest touch of Whistler, but entirely yours. I like your surface, the way you manipulate and sculpt oil paint.

I originate from Battersea so know these views extremely well. I much prefer this painting of Albert Bridge to the one looking west from Battersea Bridge. I love the use of the vibrant pink and blue against the sombre grey of the sky and the unusual viewpoint.. Excellent work.

Wonderful texture. I didn't realise till I enlarged it that the view is from under another bridge. I love teh touch of pink which makes it look as if it's winter and just starting to go dark.

Thanks Diana, it was a really really dull grey day and the only thing that had real colour was the pink bridge, I did exaggerate the colour a bit- to make it stand out as everything was a pure grey piece!

Glad to see this one sold as well, well done! Another beautiful work.

You really are a very accomplished painter, I love your work.

Thanks Lesley and Avril!
