Hi Adebanji, perhaps more the proud, brave soulful face? you have captured the expression beautifully, those eyes.... Is it based on one of your travels to work sketches? A watercolour? Oh and how big?...I like it very much.

Agree with Phil once again this is an excellent piece of work. I have just realised I have commented on your earlier work and in between I have missed so much - do not know how? Excellent gallery or work.

Once again and excellent painting, you sure enjoy depicting black hair and beauty!

PHIL- ThanksPhil! This is a mixed media piece (acrylic, coloured pencil, wax crayons, oil base pencil, biro) based on a fashionable picture of Esta-didn't quite get her resemblance here but I was more concerned about the hair and composition. it is 12" x 9". very A4ish! JEANNETTE- Thanks, I don't know how you missed, too? CAROLE- Yes, I do really enjoy depicting black hair and its beauty- It probably all came from the fact that when I was growing up I spent so many hours after primary school in my mums hairdressing salon.

Another beautiful painting, really like the texture in the background is that wax resist?

Thanks Val, it is wax resist

The model is in a world of her own! I add the African motifs to depict her ethical background. The emphasis is black hair and its beauty!
