And you responded to it well - I'm not sure that large paintings (how large, by the way, is this one?) aren't a bit easier (not the right word, but the best I can think of) because at least you can see just what you're doing and have more freedom with the brush. Don't know about you, but I usually find as well that the larger the painting, the fewer the different colours I have to throw at it.. Anyway, like this; remember that the water's horizon line needs to be level, that's all.
