Very good - charcoal isn't an easy medium. I have a suggestion for you, with particular reference to your acrylic painting. If you visit Roger L Bansemer's site (just Google him) you will find a large number of videos of him painting - they helped me a lot, and I'm sure will help you. He has a regular electronic newsletter, as well, which you may find interesting to subscribe to. He's particularly interesting on negative space in paintings, and the importance of silhouette and edges in landscape; but take a look and see what you think.
