Relaxing Moments

Quite a difference between the two images - the previous version was somewhat warmer .... both paintings, or both versions of the same painting, are brilliantly done, sculpted almost ; the fact that both figures are female reduces, somehow, the sense of dynamic tension that is present in some of your other paintings..... Whether that's good, bad, or indifferent I'm unsure: I need to think about this one (which is usually a good sign!).

Thank you Robert for your very kind comments. Actually this is the same painting, the warmer photo is taken outside in sunlight and the colder one is taken at the same time outside in shadow. The dynamic tension you are referring may be less important since its a relaxing moment that both females are enjoying. Please note the smile on their faces which reflects peace. There is some dynamic tension in the background between the two figures, but it's a subtitle one.

Your use of bright colours and a high res camera to photograph these is just pure joy to see Abraham, they are all fabulous, to paint as you do and still capture fine details is just so good

Thank you Ros for your very kind comment.

Oil painting on canvas, painted with painting (palette) knives; 100x100 cm, 2012 I have reloaded this painting. The digital photo was taken outside at 11 am in the shadow. Please note the difference in appearance of the the texture vs. the other photo loaded next to this one. It is advisable to view this painting under "View Full Size" in order to capture the 3D-like texture.
