This is a beautiful pastel, Jennifer. I like the greens you used: not too heavy but very subtle with a touch of red. Good foreground too: light and bright. Congratulations on the commision.

Thankyou everyone, Yes Jenny I work from photo,s now, I used to paint out a few year ago with the watercolour society and really enjoyed it, but now have ill health so wouldn,t go on my own, my sister is also a artist and we were thinking of taking a painting holiday, so when hopefully my health improoves then I would love nothing more.

This was a commision from someone that lived on the Isle of Arran as a child, they sent me the photo to copy it from, I noticed the smoke our of the chimneys going in oppisite direction so wheither it was cross winds I don,t know, none the less they were thrilled with it and gave me another commision.
