I love it Helen and you look like you know how to use all those mediums, well done for going on the course and i love the colors, movement, water it is a stunning picture and hope you get lots more comments here. i can see your style in this to and hope you will soon have more to show. love the rough texture of rock them smooth mossy grass hills.

I'm wet through and shivering just looking at it Helen! I think its tremendous, bags of atmosphere, and as Rachel has already remarked, there doesn't appear to be any hesitation re the use of all these mediums.

Thank you rachel and fiona, it was certainly a day I wont forget, I think it was Extreme Painting. Many thanks for the encouragement.

Ah, found your Pendeen Watch painting and very good it is too!! Can definitely see the influence of Paul Lewin but not to the detriment of your own style. Great to hear you had such a great time on the course and in such a great location to paint as well.

Is this by Pendeen lighthouse? If so, I have sat on the cliff beside it many times on a holiday last year. It certainly is a wild spot! I can see that you have been really influenced by the atmosphere of the day as that comes through in your painting. I find the coastline quite formidable around those parts and you have really reflected that in the darkness of the rocks and the crashing sea. Obviously a course that was worth doing if it helped you to produce a painting like this.

Helen a terrific painting ,such movement and vigour, .....you got it. .

The resulting painting shows that the course was well worth attending. Great.

thank you all so much, Yes Thea It is by the lighthouse, so you will appreciate how windy it was. Got to remember all the techniques so i can prove to myself it wasnt a fluke !!

Can only echo the above comments, brilliant.
