Le Saint-Projet, Bordeaux
How could you not be drawn to the sight of that bright orange awning and the dappled light created from that big old tree? It was a hot day in Bordeaux and lots of people were looking for shade and refreshment! I’ve tried to capture the warmth of the sun and the busyness of the scene. I spent a long time debating the composition; I got photos from several angles. But this is the view I was first attracted to. This painting is in oils on a 16”x12” canvas panel.
